Martin Solis, LPC

Hola! I’m a first gen Nicaraguan-American (hence all the pictures of Nicaragua on my site) that’s been practicing therapy since 2017. I was initially drawn to psychology as a field by my own lived experiences dealing with cultural shifts, and partly due to some old Sherlock Holmes movies. I take a lot of pride now in being able to connect with folks in ways that they’ve told me other therapists haven’t been able to and part of that I believe is also with how I value humor and lightheartedness in therapy.

As for therapy styles, I mostly focus around a person-centered approach. To me that means that I’m not here to tell you what’s good or bad, or healthy or not, but rather to help you discover what’s most helpful to you and go from there. I also use elements of IFS, EMDR, CBT, DBT, and ACT. I love talking to people so if any of this has caught your interest or if you have any questions please reach out!
